for this project, i had to take an old painting and alter it in my own way. now, i know everyone and their mom has one way or another did their own version of starry night by van gogh. hell, i even drew this painting using color pastels.
i like to think i'm funny, so i put a batman signal in the sky to add a humorous touch to the painting. i like it. this took me about 2 class periods to finish. i eventually became a bit more comfortable using the thick, impasto strokes, which was hard to do with acrylic. alas, it was a super fun painting to do. my teacher had a good laugh. this is acrylic on an 18 x 24 white, textured canvas. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
