lol i really don't know. i want to include new work in the book because i feel like i owe it to people who have been following me for years. but i also want to include some of my best self-portraits/older work. instead of people buying prints, i'd figure they'd rather buy a book that collectively has all of my work. it's a way to see how i've progressed and what to expect in the future. i have a lot a lot a lot of work to do, and i'm still not really sure how i'm going to lay it out and edit it, but i will pull it together (i've been promising people for about 3 years now that i was going to self-publish a book, and haven't done it yet).

Oh yeah, the book sounds like a wonderful idea - I've bought a few prints off DA but the shipping cost makes it pretty expensive to get more than three or four at a time.
I guess the hardest thing will be selecting your best work since you have so much to choose from, but that can only be a good thing.
Looking forward to seeing what you end up with anyway!

i didn't even know you bought photos - thank you very much! (wish DA would've notified me) i have only sold about 4 photographs in my lifetime, so the book makes more sense at this point. i figured that not many people would like to hang a stranger on their wall - i feel like people mostly just want to buy nature photographs and the like for that sort of thing. having a book would definitely bring in some sales, and it could just be a thing that people can look at from time to time (may even be a coffee table book ). after the release of this book, i hope to publish a few more. i was thinking about purchasing my own ISBN number so i could sell it through amazon and book stores, but i heard they can be costly. who knows.
